The moment you have all been waiting for....
‘Did he just say he likes me?’ she asks herself. ‘Of course he did,’ she answers. She rolls her eyes for talking to herself. ‘Great,’ she thinks.
Adam laughs. “Sarah?”
“Hmmm?”
“What are you thinking?”
Without pausing to think, Sarah responds, “I need a coffee.”
Adam laughs again. “You have one in your hands.”
“Right.” Bright red creeps into Sarah’s cheeks.
“What has you so flustered?”
“You said you like me,” Sarah whispers.
“I did.” Adam brushes his fingers over her cheek. “And,” he lifts her chin to look into her eyes, “I do.”
They stare into each other’s eyes not speaking. Sarah stares at him in shock. Adam is surprised that she finds it so unbelievable that he would be interested in her. She is very pretty and smart. Unless she inherited a large sum of money, a stupid girl would not be able to afford a place like this. He finds it hard to believe that no other man has made these advancements on her before.
After what feels like an eternity, Sarah feels the need to break their stare. Just when she is about to look away Adam moves to lean in closer, glancing at her lips.
‘So soft,’ he thinks.
Sarah can feel her heart speed up in anticipation. Her breathing slows as he moves closer. Without taking his eyes off her lips, Adam puts his coffee on the table. Sarah bites her bottom lip. Adam takes her coffee from her hands and places it beside his own. Lightly Adam grabs her chin, pulling her lip from between her teeth. Her lips are red from the pressure. Lightly, he brushes his lips over hers.
He looks up to find her eyes slightly closed. Wrapping his hand around to the nape of her neck he kisses her again. There is an urgency in his kiss, but it is a gentle kiss. Adam takes his time, savouring her feel and taste.
A light moan escapes her. Embarrassed, Sarah places her hands on his chest. Sensations flow through her body that she has never felt before.
Both hands now holding her, Adam pulls her closer to him. Sarah offers no resistance.
‘Just go with it,’ a tiny voice pleads inside her and she decides to listen. She follows Adam’s movements and kisses him back.
The sense of empowerment she feels when Adam moans his approval takes her shyness far away.
BUZZ…BUZZ
Sarah jumps, biting Adam’s lip.
BUZZ…BUZZ
Adam jumps. His lip throbbing in pain, he places a finger to it. With his other hand he reaches into his pocket to grab his phone.
Movie’s done loverboy. Meet us at Sangria’s in 30.
‘Damn it,’ Adam huffs.
Lightly, Sarah grabs Adam’s hand from his lip. Sarah gasps.
“Oh my goodness,” she covers her own mouth, “oh. I’m so sorry.”
Adam licks his lip before touching it again. When he pulls his finger away he seems a little blood.
“Let me get you some ice,” Sarah says, standing up.
Adam grabs her hand and pulls her back down. “It’s fine,” he says.
He can’t stand to see the worried look on her face so he kisses her lightly. “See?” He smiles. “Not broken.”
“I’m so sorry I bit you,” Sarah whispers, embarrassed.
“Not your fault,” Adam says, “Damn Brian.”
A chiming noise sounds across the apartment.
“And that,” Adam nods in the direction of the noise, “I imagine, would be your sister.”
Sarah sighs, disappointed, “probably.”
Sarah goes to dig through her purse for her phone.
Sangria’s in 30 sis. <3 A
“Well,” Sarah throws the phone back in her purse, “guess we should get going then.”
